Hello, My Name Is...
Waverly started at her new school yesterday. She went right into her new nursery beautifully and ended up comforting some of the other kids she knew, who were uneasy with the new location. Yesterday was a bit bumpy - she was a bit overly excited. Today she did great. She spent most of her day with her assistant interacting with the mainstream kids. They said she had a great day. She was really excited to see me and just kept repeating "I Waverly" the entire walk and bus ride home. I think they had her introducing herself to the other kids a lot today. It was wonderful. I am so proud of her.

A Thousand Words
I am sorry that the blog has been picture-less the past few days. A friend is borrowing our camera and we have yet to get it back. Hopefully tomorrow I will have some new photos to share with all of you. Waverly had "school" this morning and her favorite friend, Sophie, was there. Sophie is 4 and has Down Syndrome. The 2 girls play beautifully together - it is really cute to watch. Oliver is semi-crawling now. He crawls with one leg up, like a crab. He doesn't move too fast, but he is able to get around more. It shouldn't be long before he is all over the house. A few of you have asked about my Grandfather. He is still in ICU after suffering a stroke last week. The prognosis is not good, but we are still praying for recovery. Thanks for your prayers and encouragement.

Cheap...Even With The Conversion
We discovered a great, cheap find here in London. There is a movie theatre that shows kids movies over the weekend. The four of us went to see Ratatouille today for 3 pounds - that is 6 dollars. Wavey loved the movie, as did Matt and I. Oliver slept for most of it. It was a fun way to spend a wintry day.

Sunshine & Rain
I took Oliver to the therapist today for an evaluation. Due to his hearing impairment he will likely need speech therapy. We thought it best to have him evaluated at around a year to see what we need to do. We received wonderful news. Thanks to his very early diagnosis (7 weeks old he had his hearing aids), he is only slightly delayed on his speech. The therapist gave me some additional pointers to help him begin to copy speech sounds and said we could come back in about 5-6 months to have another evaluation. She was really pleased with his attention, focus, fine motor skills and sociability. It was wonderful to get some good news.
Update: My grandfather has had a stroke and is in the hospital in Florida. We are still waiting for a prognosis from the doctors. Please continue to pray for him, my Nana, my Dad and the rest of my family. Thanks.

We Are Coming Home!!
We are coming back to the US for a visit in a few months!!! We just bought the tickets and I am busy arranging doctor appointments and scheduling visits. We hope to see as many of you as possible during our trip home.
Don't Visit The Aquarium
Yesterday we decided to spend the afternoon at the London Aquarium. We were really looking forward it to and our trusty tour book for kids recommended it. We spent only 33 minutes (and over $50!) there - not worth the money in the slightest. It was a total rip off. So it will NOT be on any visitor's itinerary. Matt did snap this (not so lovely) photo during our afternoon. Our batteries ran out so we had one chance. We needed more.

A New Year
Sorry I haven't posted anything in a week. Honestly, there just hasn't been much going on here. Waverly's school doesn't start up until next week and we are just taking some time to relax before the busy schedule begins again. We took a trip to the base and loaded up on some American favorites. We spent New Year's Day out with Matt's co-worker. We went out for lunch and then to the Tate Modern museum. The rest of the week has been mostly staying in - it's been cold here the past few days. Oliver had his one year check-up. He is a BIG boy - off the charts in every way possible - healthy and happy. Waverly is excited to see her school friends. She talks about them every morning, hoping this is the day she will see them again. We miss you all.
