Back to School


Yesterday was the first day of school and we tried to take the obligatory picture without much success. Oliver just wanted to walk in the yard. Waverly was sleepy and would not give me a smile. This picture actually makes me quite sad. I looked back over the past few years and they have changed so much - especially Waverly. Hoping she can get her spark back soon and we can have a redo with smiles and open eyes.

Hi this is lesley, mum to Sarah. I lost track of your blog and have stopped writing Sarah's for a while, not quite sure why but hope to start it up again soon. anyway, you won't remember me, but that's ok. Sarah has a question of Rett Syndrome and once you commented on the girls wearing the same pajamas. Anyway, you are doing a great job with the kids, in spite of the regressions, they look healthy and I envy your summer vacation! I've caught up on all your posts, and will continue to read now. Actually, I may be moving to the DC area this spring with Sarah, fingers crossed. I have to research services available for her in Va vs DC vs MD. My son lives in DC and owns a couple of restaurants there. So hello again!

I wish I had an uplifting comment, Shannon, it's just that this photo makes me really sad too. I've been thinking about you all a lot lately, and as I see changes within Sasha as of late, I can't help but think back to the photo of her and Waverly at the Smithsonian/Aviation Museum in DC. Lots of hugs to us all. xx, Joanne
