Matt and I are writing this letter to you on behalf of very special children. Jill’s House is a local
organization dedicated to providing care and support to children with special needs and their
families through overnight respite care. For those of you who read my blog, you are well aware just how special Jill's House is to our family. Did you know?
• More than 80% of marriages of parents of special needs children fail
• 61% of parents of special needs children report respite as an unmet need
• Respite programs across the country often have waiting lists of up to 500 families
Since opening in October 2010, Jill's House has provided over 90 families with respite
care. Waverly has had the opportunity to spend a weekend there in May and she has enjoyed a few weeks of their day camps this summer. When Oliver turns 6, he will also be able to have adventures at Jill's House.
Matt is running the 36th Marine Corps 10k in Washington, DC on October 30th, and we
would like to ask you to help us reach our goal of finishing the 10K
all while supporting Jill’s House. The financial support that he receives will directly help Jill’s House
provide respite to over 600 children per month.
We are grateful for you taking the time to read this, and for your consideration in
helping me raise awareness through “Team Jill’s House 2011” by making a contribution.
If you choose to make a contribution, you can click HERE to make a tax deductible donation.
Please help us reach our goal of $750. I hope we can greatly surpass that goal and give back to an organization that has given us so much.
