Preparations
We are heading back to the US tomorrow. I am nervous. I know that reality will truly set in when we arrive at Duke. Today has been very busy saying goodbye to friends, running errands and packing. It is difficult to pack for the unknown. Next week we should have a plan in place. I look forward to finding out what that plan will be. Thanks for taking this journey with us.

I've been reading your blog and praying for your family ever since I saw the link on my friend Cori's website. We live in Cary, NC, only about 20 minutes from Duke. I would love to do anything I can to help you feel more comfortable when you arrive here. Maybe we could take you to the children's museum or show you our favorite parks to help you and your kids have some family time together and a break from doctors. Please email me if you are interested. It would be a blessing to me to help you in any way I can.

You do not know me. I am Sharon Hick's sister, Stephanie. Sharon has been sharing the story of your family with me and my heart just breaks for you as I read your blog. I can't even imagine the pain you are going through but you have many people praying for you. Your kids are so full of joy and the pictures just make me smile! It is so amazing that we have a Heavenly Father who wraps His arms around us even when things don't seem to make sense or seem to be fair. I just wanted you to know that you are being prayed for and loved. In Christ, Stephanie
Your family is on my prayer mirror. I hope you have a safe trip and a productive time at Duke.
