We met the President!!

The President, First Lady and Ambassador & Mrs. Tuttle

This morning, Matt and I had the pleasure of attending an event at the Embassy for the President & First Lady. He wanted to thank the employees for their service. We were able to snap a few good photos and both Matt & I were able to shake his hand. All politics aside, it was an incredible opportunity.

It was also a great time for Matt and I to spend together - without the kids. I was able to go to lunch with 2 friends who were also at the event and we had a wonderful time. And, the kids both did well with their sitter (Thanks, Siobhan!!).

Shannon, that is super that you & Matt got to shake the president & first lady's hand. I was born & raised in Waco, Texas which is not far from Bush's ranch in Crawford. I've been as close as the gates to the ranch but of course couldn't see anything.Sounds like you had a relaxing time which you so deserve.

Hey guys! I've been super busy the last few weeks and haven't been able to comment on the blog.

What an awesome opportunity. Shaking the hand of a president is something that not everyone gets to do. I'm sure it was a pretty fun moment.

Glad to hear things are coming along in DC.

We continue to think about and pray for you and the kids regularly.

Blessings
