I have been following your blog for years but I hadn't checked it a while but as I was watching Undercover boss and your father-in-law started talking, I saw the faces of your two amazing kids. I immediately called my mom who has also followed your journey. I guess I felt led to say, you are in our prayers and I know cure is in the works by your faith and your works & diligence. God Bless.

What a wonderful tribute to Waverly and Oliver! Such awareness has been brought to Sanfillipo in just the last month with the pepsi refresh project and now Undeercover Boss. Al seems like a wonderful man, and his love for the kids is so evident! I shed extra tears for your family tonight, and more importantly, continued prayers.

Hi Shannon, you probably don't remember me, but I graduated from Emmaus in 92. Kristen Lentz told me about the Pepsi vote, and I voted for your lovely children. Then, my husband and I were watching the show tonight, and I couldn't believe it when your stepdad was on. What a wonderful opportunity for your family! I just wanted to stop by and let you know that we are thinking of your family tonight.
What a beautiful tribute! I am praying that this national attention will make all the difference!

Hello, you don't know me but I am a teacher and a mother of 3 young children living in Minnesota. Sitting here after the show I couldn't stop thinking of the emotions your step dad showed and the beautiful picture of your two children. I unfortunately have never heard of the disease that has affected your life so greatly. I read your blog and loved the story of the little boy who is such a good friend to your daughter. As a physical education teacher who has students from the time they are in 1st grade through 5th grade my greatest joy is watching students have incredible bonds with our many students with special needs. Like you mentioned in one of your posts, I can't even fathom the thought process of knowing that the passing of my child is near like your poor friend is going through right now. Even though they are sleeping I just went to each of my children's rooms just to look at them sleep and touch their faces with tears running down my cheeks. I would really like to join you on this journey both prayerfully and although it will be little financially as well. I pray that God will bless your family and bring you daily peace.

Hi Shannon,

We disconnected our television last year and so weren't able to watch this show. Do you have a link I could check out with the episode? I'm so sorry we weren't able to see this!

Joanne
