Article

The Piqua Daily Call had an article in the paper today about the kids and "A Hundred for a Home". You can read about it here. Matt grew up in Piqua Ohio and actually went to high school with the reporter who covered our story. We are so excited about this.

Shannon,
I don't know you, but my heart aches for you. I cannot begin to imagine the pain your family is going through. I'm sure you've heard the saying or something like it;"You never know the impact you have on someone, however brief the contact" Well that was Matt, and so many others including my brother from their class for me. Matt would only remember me as either "Field's little sister", or "Corn's little sister". My name is Meghann Oen(Fields). Matt like my brother taught me what it is to be a Christian. To be accountable. To love your neighbor as yourself. To be able to laugh at yourself, because we are all a work in progress. To trust in Our God. Thank you. Your Matt and the others from his class helped me choose a wonderful Christian man. It was the attributes in them that I used when I dated to help me make the right decision. We are not a family of any type of means, but I will send what I can. More than that though, you and your family will be in my prayers and in my heart. Again, I don't know you, but I love you and your family. May God keep you close to Him throughout your lives.

Shannon,
I found your blog the other day from another (can't remember which one). I saw the picture of your children at the top and read about their diagnosis... so I just spent a couple days (nap time around here!) reading from the start. While I don't know what it is like to be given a diagnosis like your children's, I can understand what it is like to have a special needs child. My daughter has hydrocephalus, epilepsy, and CP, and has changed my life more than I thought possible.

You have a beautiful family. You are in my prayers.
